Fasting is really good for your health (better cell repair, reduce body fat %, reduce insulin resistance etc), but Karen, throwing up on a fast is a major no-no. You mentioned muscle loss, but if your body has enough fat reserves that will be minimal with strength/resistance, so it’s an indication that your bf% fell too low hence the vomiting. I’m glad you managed to achieve your goal but health > anything:). If anyone is looking to embark on an extended fast please look on the fasting reddit or Dr Fung’s website beforehand so you can do it safely.

I’m glad you are back! I am just going to say that this is very dangerous and the reason why you were tired is because there is no glucose in your system (carbs,bread,etc) to produce energy. I would not recommend this challenge, you are just starving yourself. You can try this and I am not trying to stop you but I am just worried about you and I don’t want you to hurt yourself! Love you!!!

I break my prolonged fasts with salad. Fruit is just so sweet coming off the fast. Fasting is awesome. Good on you. 👏👏👏👏👏

Fasting is not so much about food but about “Focus”. If you are trying to “figure things out” (Glamfun made that statement at the top of her video.) then a time of fasting and prayer can be beneficial. Some of the side effects are rapid weight loss and developing self-control or will power. I think Karen has accomplished both. Hopefully she is more focused as well.

Dude……..this is so unhealthy,…….. In what universe, planet, or galaxy is starving yourself a good idea, you’re lucky you’ve not suffered any permanent damage, what the hell, I hope kids and teens aren’t subscribed to you you cause this is an awful example to set
Edit cause I’ve seen weirdos going ” not eating for 20 days is perfectly fine!!!” You’re sleeping so much cause your body had nothing for energy, and used up what fat and muscle you had to keep your organs working. If it REALLY had enough to live on you wouldn’t have been so tired all the time

I’m a nutrition major. This is complete garbage. Not science based, all you’re doing is starving yourself.
And no, food does not stay in your body for years, what on earth? You digest, absorb what you need, store some in fat and muscle, and poop out the rest.
Also, PLEASE DONT DRINK DISTILLED WATER! You will screw up your electrolyte balance, which can be fatal.
